The processes taking place in the world economy directly impact on the development of the national economies of individual countries, affecting their economic interests. Therefore it is necessary to know the trends and patterns of development of the world economy. Furthermore, national economies are differ in scope, pace, efficiency, economic development, the type of economic growth, the social structure of the economy, the level of development and the nature of foreign economic relations and other parameters and hence the analysis of the world economy is used the classification of countries according to various criteria.
